What our clients actually say.
Pulled straight from our Google reviews — written by clients, in their own words. Read them all on Google →
"I have been working with Sage for over 10 years, using their services for both my business and my home. They always provide the right solutions and give honest advice on which systems are the best fit. While they are highly budget-conscious, they also know when it’s worth investing more to ensure a business runs smoothly. I highly recommend Jay and his team for everything from hanging TVs to installing complex, large-scale systems."
"We have worked with Jason and the Sage Solutions team for over three years, and we are thrilled with their service. Jason is kind, professional, and responsive. He and his team are experts in their field and always have the best solution to our IT needs. On top of keeping our technology in great working order, Jason is a pleasure to work with. All of us at Ballet Academy East in New York City feel very lucky to know we can depend on Sage Solutions whenever we need them."
"Jason has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He is professional, knowledgeable, and always available whenever we need assistance. No matter the issue, he responds quickly and somehow makes our IT problems disappear with minimal disruption to our business. … Knowing Jason is just a phone call away gives us tremendous peace of mind."

What does an MSP cost for a small business in NY/NJ?
Sage Solutions uses flat-rate per-endpoint pricing, typically $109–$225 per workstation per month depending on tier, with separate flat fees for servers and infrastructure. No surprise hourly bills, no after-the-fact "tech debt" surcharges. You get a written quote in 48 hours after a free 30-minute assessment.
Will we lose emails during a Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace cutover?
No. We run a staged cutover — your old mailbox stays live during migration, mail is mirrored in real time, and we cut MX records during off-hours after every mailbox is verified. Zero-mail-loss is the standard, not the goal.
How fast do you respond to a ticket?
Average response time across managed clients in 2025 was 14 minutes. P1 (business-down) issues escalate to a senior engineer immediately, including after hours for managed clients with 24/7 support.
Do you handle compliance work — HIPAA, PCI, NY SHIELD Act?
Yes. We architect HIPAA-aware infrastructure for medical practices, PCI-segmented networks for restaurants and retail, and SHIELD-compliant data handling for any business with NY-resident PII. We are not a compliance auditor — we partner with your auditor to implement the controls they require.
Are you really local? Or is this an offshore call center?
We are headquartered in Staten Island, NY. Helpdesk and engineering are US-based. On-site response across NYC and northern New Jersey is typically same-day, often within 90 minutes for managed clients.
Can we keep our current internet provider, phone system, or vendor relationships?
Yes. We work with whatever stack you have. Part of managed services is vendor management — when your ISP, CRM, line-of-business app, or phone vendor has an issue, you call us, we call them.
What is the difference between IT support and managed IT services?
IT support is reactive — a server breaks, you call, someone fixes it, you pay an hourly bill. Managed IT services is a flat-rate, proactive contract: continuous monitoring, automated patching, backup verification, security tooling, and unlimited helpdesk are all in scope every month. The economic difference is the alignment — under hourly billing, your vendor profits when things break. Under managed IT, we profit when nothing breaks, so we invest in prevention.
How is managed IT different from co-managed IT or hiring an in-house IT person?
Hiring one in-house tech costs roughly $90,000–$130,000 fully loaded, and that person is one human with vacation, sick days, and a single area of expertise. Managed IT replaces that role with a full team — helpdesk, network, security, cloud, vendor management — for typically half to two-thirds the cost. Co-managed IT is the hybrid: you keep your in-house IT person and add us as their backup, after-hours coverage, and tier-3 escalation. Co-managed pricing is custom and usually starts around $1,500–$3,000 per month.
How long does it take to switch from our current MSP?
Most SMB switches complete in 14 to 30 days. Week 1 is discovery: we document the environment, get credentials, identify gaps. Week 2 is parallel-run: our monitoring deploys alongside the existing tools while we onboard your users. Week 3-4 is cutover: ticket routing flips to us, the prior MSP's tools are decommissioned, and the relationship formally ends. We have a written runbook for this — switch days are coordinated, not chaotic.
Will Sage help us pass a cyber-insurance audit or renewal questionnaire?
Yes. Cyber-insurance carriers require specific controls — MFA enforcement, EDR, immutable backup, security awareness training, documented incident response, and access reviews. Our Secure tier defaults to a stack that meets or exceeds the typical underwriter checklist. We will fill out the renewal questionnaire with you and provide attestation letters where the carrier asks for them.
What size company is too small for managed IT?
Below about 10 endpoints the math gets fuzzy — at 5-8 employees a flat-rate plan can feel expensive relative to a one-off support arrangement. We will tell you that openly during the assessment. Our sweet spot is 10-250 employees in a single industry, especially regulated verticals (healthcare, finance, legal) where the consequences of an outage justify the predictable monthly bill.
Ready for IT that does not surprise you?
A 30-minute call. No slide deck. We will tell you what looks healthy, what looks risky, and what we would do first.
